James J. Eifert
James J. Eifert, 87 of Erlanger, passed away December 26, 2020. James was a member of the Knights of St John, St Henry Holy Name, and long-time member of St Henry Catholic Church. James also volunteered as Scoutmaster for Troop 726 and served as Assistant Chief for the Erlanger Fire Department for over 40 years. He loved to golf, was an avid wood worker, and had a very strong Catholic faith.
James was survived by his wife of 66 years: Mary Ann Eifert, children: Douglas James (Kim) Eifert, Donna (Dennis) Vagedes, Robert (Mary) Eifert, David Eifert (Sonnie), and Marsha (Robert) Mangine, 18 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, sister: Mary Ann Blair, and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Roman and Edna Eifert, brother: Jack Eifert, and great-grandson: Matthew Mangine Jr.
A Visitation will be held Monday, January 4, 2021 from 10:00 am to 11:30 am at St Henry Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 11:30 am at St Henry Catholic Church. A livestream of the service will be available at https://www.sthenrychurch.net/. Burial will be held privately. Due to COVID-19 restrictions masks will be required by all guests at the church and cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Knights of St John’s Scholarships for: St Henry High School, Holy Cross, or Newport Central Catholic for each school directly.
