My former Dixie Area Knothole Executive Supervisor
Paul helped me get my start as a Knothole manager back in 1971 when I managed my first team as a high school junior. That same school year, Mr. Kramer (as I called him), gave a very interesting talk to my Social Studies class at Lloyd High about his important position with the US Postal Service. I remember how Paul would try each spring to get every boy on a Knothole team, even forming new teams when necessary. Dixie Knothole grew rapidly while Paul was Executive Supervisor. I know that Paul was active with the Kid Glove Game, helping thousands of youngsters afford to play baseball. I knew that while Paul was helping Knothole, that he was also a great father to his young daughters back in those days. My condolences to Wink (who was always so nice to me) and all of Paul’s family and friends.
