Ryan Kenneth Brown
Ryan Kenneth Brown, 25, of Lexington, KY, formerly of Florence, KY, passed away unexpectedly on June 30, 2020. Ryan was born December 16, 1994 in Reading, PA. Ryan was an active young man; he was a Boone County All State Diver, and a Jr. Olympic Gold Medalist in Trampoline and Tumbling. He loved launching his body into the air and many other active pursuits, and spending time at the lake with his family and friends.
Following high school, Ryan moved to Lexington, KY and attended the University of Kentucky. He then went into sales. Ryan is survived by his loving parents: Kenneth and Lynn Brown; his beloved siblings: Shawn (Sarah) Brown, and Erin Brown; his paternal grandparents: Kenneth and Karen Brown; maternal grandparents: Bob and Ada Sloane and his dear great aunt Lenor Hersey; several other loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; and his dear cat Hobbes. A memorial service will be held for Ryan on Monday, July 6, 2020 at 12:00 PM at Immanuel United Methodist Church (Boone Campus), 1440 Boone Aire Rd, Florence, KY 41042.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the church has a strict capacity of 100 people, and they do recommend wearing mask, and following six-feet social distancing guidelines. We do apologize in advance if anyone is turned away due to these guidelines.
Due to these restrictions, we will also be streaming the service live on YouTube. You can watch by searching “Linnemann Funerals Live” on YouTube at 12:00 PM on Monday.
Following the service, a reception will be held to celebrate Ryan’s life at Linnemann Event Center, 1940 Burlington Pike, Burlington, KY 41005. Online condolences and your favorite memories of Ryan can be left at linnemannfuneralhomes.com, and memorial contributions can be made in Ryan’s honor to the charity of your choice.

So sorry
I am sorry to hear about Ryan’s passing. The time that I got to spend with him at diving was a lot of fun. Watching him, Evan, Karly, and Meghan dive for Boone County was some of the best times. I remember him forgetting his swim suit and having to buy the regular speedo at the state meet. But that was Ryan…he just rolled with the punches. Although I havent talked to him since he graduated its still hard to hear about someone’s passing. Our family certainly will keep you in our prayers. RIP Ryan….

I watched the service on YouTube, it was very special. So glad Chris was there to deliver the sermon, I am sure Ryan would have loved that. Lynn and Ken, I simply cannot tell you how very sorry I am for all of you. I cannot even imagine how you must feel. Ryan was a great kid, all due to great parents.

Ryan was a Bright Spot
Friends and Family of Ryan,
Our family was acquainted with Ryan through Top Flight Gymnastics. He was a bright spot in our daughter’s time there sice our daughter, Tessa, was part of the trampoline & tumbling team that became smaller as head coaching staff was not replaced. Ryan was encouraging & creative giving our child, who felt resistant to leave the only place she had ever taken gymnastics, a continuation of training in addition to comfort in that loss. Ryan led her birthday party there and it was a super-fun time we will all never forget. I have always prayed for Ryan as I saw limited posts by him on Facebook and I am sad to learn that his beautiful life has ended so soon. Our heartfelt condolences go out to all who knew him.

I will always cherish the memories I’ve had with Ryan over the course of my life. Ryan always brought a fun-loving, humorous, and joyful energy to any gathering. He was thoughtful, kind, curious, and driven. He always cared for me and protected me as if I was his own family. I can’t imagine the pain you all are experiencing. I celebrate the person that Ryan was and I am comforted that we will see him again one day. I pray for your family’s healing.
