Carolyn L. Eickhoff

Tom & family,
I met Carolyn 20+ years ago when she volunteered at parenting classes at Family Nurturing Center. I am blessed to have known her and worked with her. While we haven’t seen each other much in recent years, she has made a lasting impression on me and I am forever grateful to have known her. She is a beautiful example of nurturing. She has touched so many! My prayers to all of you – she cherished her family and I know you all will miss her terribly. God Bless, Gail Messmer

Tom and children, so sad to hear of Carolyn’s passing. I have known her since I was inJr. HS. I was a part of the Eickhoff Family for many years. We connected again at the Ladies 60’s graduates dinners. She was still as sweet and nice as ever. She will be missed. Prayers for comfort and strength.

I am so sorry to learn of Carolyn’s passing, unexpectedly for me. We had just seen each other at a library concert. My condolences to you and blessings on each of you for the comfort you need. Cherish those wonderful memories you have of Carolyn. Having known Tom through our work, I hope he will get wonderful support from all of the family.

We are so sorry for your loss. Carolyn taught hundreds of parents nurturing parenting skills, and countless adults about ways to protect children from abuse. We are blessed to have known her and are grateful that she dedicated so much of her life to helping others. She will be missed, but her impact on the community will live on. You are all in our thoughts and prayers at this sad time.

To the family and friends of Mrs. Eickhoff, I am deeply sorry for your loss. Though I did not know Mrs. Carolyn Eickhoff personally, my family and I have felt the pain of losing cherished loved ones, and it is a pain no one should ever have to feel. May the God of all comfort (2nd Corinthians 1:3,4) be with you at this tragic time.

I met Carolyn when I was the band director at Turkey Foot Middle School. She and Tom were amazing supporters of our band program . . . and their children were delightful to have as students. I moved away in 1986 and when I returned to KY in 2014, I was so happy to find out that they lived in the neighborhood where I bought. I couldn’t wait to see them again and as always, Carolyn and Tom were welcoming and encouraging and made me feel like I belonged here. They moved a couple of years later but we stayed in contact. Suffice it to say that she and Tom were the parents that all teachers dream of . . . positive role models who care deeply about their children and their education. Their reward for that shines brightly in Lisa and Brad, who share their values and beliefs. Tom, Lisa and Brad, my heart is heavy but I choose to remember the sweet lady who always wore a smile. I know that you all have so many happy memories to cherish. Sing with the angels in heaven, Carolyn. You will be missed.

Although I did not know Carolyn in recent years, I taught her piano lessons in her youth. I found her to be a talented and lovely person who was a joy to know. I am pleased that she was able to have recent contact with my sister, Gayle, who now lives in The Villas of Southfork. I am sad to know that Carolyn will no longer be among us. — Lois Shryock Runden
