John Paul Westendorf Sr.

John Paul Westendorf Sr., 75 years old, of Villa Hills, KY passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2019 in Villa Hills, KY. He was born on May 15, 1943 in Cincinnati, OH to the late William and Elizabeth Westendorf. He grew up in Cincinnati, and obtained his Masters degree in Chemistry from Xavier University. John worked and retired from Clayton Industries where he was National Chemical Sales Manager. He volunteered at St. Elizabeth Hospice, Meals on Wheels, and was a Board Member at the Cincinnati Credit Union. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sherry Westendorf (nee: Steinmetz), and his sister, Mary Kay Milligan. John was a loving father, grandfather, and brother. His survivors include his daughter, Susan Westendorf of Crescent Springs, KY, his son, John Paul Westendorf Jr. (Shelly) of Owensboro, KY, his grandchildren, Grant and Avery Westendorf, and his brother, Bill Westendorf (Kay). A visitation will be held for John on Friday, January 11, 2019 from 4pm until 6pm at Linnemann Funeral Home and Event Center, 1940 Burlington Pike, Burlington, KY 41005. A reception will be held Friday night from 6pm until 8pm following the visitation at the Linnemann Event Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 10am at St. Joseph Church, 2470 Lorraine Ct, Crescent Springs, KY 41017. Burial will take place following the Mass at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cincinnati, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society at PO Box 98018, Washington DC, 20090-8018, the American Heart Association at 5211 Madison Road, Cincinnati, OH 45227, or the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
