William Calvin “Willy” Holbrook, 61, of Union, KY passed away Saturday, December 22, 2018 with his loved ones by his side, in the comfort of his home. He was born on June 9, 1957 in Louisa, KY to Calvin and Shirley Holbrook. Following graduation from East Carter County High School, William attended Morehead State University where he achieved a bachelor’s degree in Business, his masters in Finance (M.B.A), and was also an IRS Enrolled Agent. He took his education and job experience and started his own business in 2008 called CK Business Services. His legacy and hard work has successfully led the company, and his wife and daughter will continue to do business in his honor under his new company branding ProTax. William was a loving husband and father, and he enjoyed spending time with his family. He also enjoyed playing golf with his friends, and he always looked forward to his yearly golf trip, which started as just him and his brother-in-law Larry playing golf, turned into a legacy golf league. He also was a Cincinnati Bengals season ticket holder and was known to give you a “Who Dey” from time to time. He also enjoyed driving his Mustang and BMW through the Kentucky countryside. He was a member of the Executive Vistage Group, and the Northern Kentucky Business Referral Group. William is survived by his beloved family: wife, Sandra Holbrook (nee: Bailey), daughter, Amy Noland Holbrook, granddaughter, Kailey Lay, parents, Calvin and Shirley Holbrook, sister, Joyce Holbrook, mother and father-in-law, Paul L. and Jerry Bailey, brother-in-law: Larry Bailey (Rebecca), sister-in-law, Kathy Crance (Anthony), nieces, Alexis and Katie Griffith, Katelyn Robinson (Ryan), Kylie Caskey, and Ashley Fleming and his nephews, Sawyer William Robinson “Little Willy”, Kamron Chase Tussey, and Kevin Griffith. A visitation will be held for William on Friday, December 28, 2018 from 11am until 1pm at Linnemann Funeral Homes, 1940 Burlington Pike, Burlington, KY 41005. A service will be held following the visitation at 1pm at the Funeral Home. Entombment will take place following the Funeral Home service at Highland Cemetery in Fort Mitchell, KY. William Calvin Holbrook

,

friend

But I will see my friend again

My friend

I knew Willy like a brother, loved him like a brother, and miss him and struggle with his loss every day. Hard for anyone to understand the emptiness

simply a good person

William and all of us at Cost Saver have been together for the last 25 yrs, there are few people that I can truly call a friend and William is one of those people. His upbeat attitude and kind words always brightened our day. William was “simply a good person” and all of us are proud to call him our friend. We will miss the smile he always had when he walked in our door every week no matter what the situation of the day may be. William will always be in our hearts and we loved him dearly! Mike & Lisa

There is hope of resurrection (Acts 24:15)

To the Holbrook Family, I am so sorry for your loss, please accepted our condolences. Though this is a sad and stressful time there is an encouraging scripture at John 5:28,29, there Jesus said “Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tomb [grave] will hear his voice and come out.” One day in the near future we will be together again with those we loved to live life free from sickness, pain and death. (Revelation 21:3,4)

Loveable and Easy going Willie

R.I.P my friend illegal, UK and sometimes Wildcat Willie as he was affectionately known playing golf on the weekend with us with his big smile and easy going temperament. He was never concerned about his score and just enjoyed everyone around him. You will be missed but definitely not forgotten. I will always love you and My condolences to the family – Swoosh (Keith Williams).
