Saying good bye is difficult. But because of our faith it is not Good Bye but See you Later. Until then we have our friends and memories to sustain us. When we were young it was the hugs and pep talks. Later in life she was not just Mom but our Best friend too. This is tough. One of the toughest things you probably have gone through. Grandmas are those special people who always seem to be in our side, making us feel better when things aren’t going our way, giving us those extra comfy hugs that only grandmas can. They are unselfish and always doing more than they probably should for us. They are always praying for us even if everything is going great, they are praying for us. They are proud of us, bragging about us, spoiling us. That’s just what Grandmas do. I also think grandmas want us to be happy, and I know your grandma would want the same for you. I know you are sad, probably sad isn’t even close to describing how you feel, and that’s ok. You loved your grandma so much that it hurts. I want you to know that we are thinking about you and hope that you can look back on those grandma things and smile. That’s what grandmas want in the end- for you to smile and be happy.

I wanted to extend my sincere sympathy for the passing of your mom. Although I have only recently had the opportunity to actually sit down and talk with your mom, she has always been kind to me and my children in passing throughout the years. She did not have to be, but she was. I appreciate that and it speaks to her character. I feel for you all on this difficult day and I hope you can find comfort in your memories and stories and of course in each others company. Kayla,
I know how special your grandmother is to you and I hope you know how very special you were to her. She’s told me on several occasions when I’ve had the opportunity to talk with her. She is very proud of you and I am so glad she was able to celebrate your wedding day before she went home to be with God In Heaven. I’m sure that she will always be looking down on you smiling as you go through life, And I’m sure she’ll let you know through little signs that she’s around. I know this is such a difficult day and I want you to know we are here for you. I hope you can find comfort in your memories with your grandma and knowing that she has been reunited with your grandpa and uncle again.
