Sr. Margaret Mary Dressman

Sister Margaret Mary Dressman, OSB, died peacefully on Sunday, April 8 at St. Elizabeth Hospital at age 94.

A Benedictine sister for over 74 years, Sr. Margaret Mary served as teacher at Holy Cross, St. Benedict, St. Henry, St. Anthony, St. Paul’s and as librarian at Holy Cross High School and St. Walburg Monastery. She also served in Colorado as a hospital dietician.  She is preceded in death by her parents James and Mary Teresa Hoover Dressman and her brothers, Judge James Dressman and Gerald.  Sr. Margaret Mary is survived by her sisters Kathleen Ryan, Theresa Schuler, Ann  Zsembik, Helen Carroll and Judith Sweet, her brother, Thomas and many nieces and nephews, students, friends and her Benedictine community.  Vigil service will be held at 7:00 pm, Tuesday, April 10 followed by visitation until 9:00 pm and the Mass of Christian Burial at 5:20 pm, Wednesday, April 11 at St. Walburg Monastery.
