William “Bill” G. Smith, 83, former longtime resident of Erlanger, KY, entered into eternal life on Monday, October 9, 2017 at Baptist Village Care Center. Son of Raymond and Margaret Smith, Bill retired from the Mack Truck Co. and was an avid model train enthusiast. He was a member of the New Beginnings Evangelical Presbyterian Church and part of the family of the Bethesda Community Church.

Bill will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 60 years, Marcella Smith; their sons: Charles (Wendy) and David (Tami) Smith; grandchildren: Daniel Smith and Kaila (Joe) Allen; great-grandson Jack Allen; as well as many nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2017 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Linnemann Funeral Home and Event Center in Burlington, KY with Funeral Service to follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Erlanger, KY.

In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Bethesda Community Church Building Fund: 989 E. Mt. Zion Rd. Independence, KY 41051 or to the Salvation Army Salvation Army: P.O. Box 14076, Covington, KY 41014.

So sorry for your loss. Bill was a wonderful room mate for my dad George at Baptist Village. Although our families only knew each other for a few months, we shared a similar difficult journey. Hope you cherish many happy memories of Bill.
