Ann Miller Hood
Ann Miller Hood. Born September 2, 1943 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. She was predeceased by her parents Eugene and Marie Miller. She is survived by her sisters, Ruth of Montana and Martha of Indiana, brother Michael of California, several nieces, nephews, grand niece, cousins, and husband of 42 years George of Crestview Hills, KY. Ann was a graduate of Marian University (Indianapolis) and Notre Dame University. Following her retirement from teaching in 1997, she pursued her passion for quilting and sewing, as well as continuing to be an avid reader. She helped others recognize and develop their skills as quilters and creative sewers. Over the years, her skills helped many children derive joy through the Salvation Army’s Toy Auxiliary holiday programs. Her friends and family often described her as the gentlest person they have ever known. Arrangements are being made by friends to celebrate her life and promote her legacy as a creator of superbly crafted quilts and doll clothes, as well as a life-long educator. Contributions in Ann’s name to St. Elizabeth Hospice, 483 South Loop Road, Edgewood, KY 41017 and the Salvation Army Toy Auxiliary Program, 114 East Central Parkway, Cincinnati, OH 45202, will be welcomed.
