Sister Joann Dziolek, OSB, died peacefully Thursday evening, August 3, at St. Walburg Monastery at age 83. A Benedictine sister for over 60 years, Sr. Joann served as a teacher at St. Henry Elementary School, Villa Madonna Academy, elementary schools in Chicago area and substitute teacher in Diocese of Covington and Archdiocese of Cincinnati. Sr. Joann is survived by her sister, Mary Rose Turk (Manistee, MI), nieces and nephews, friends and her Benedictine community. Vigil service will be held at 7:00 pm, Sunday, August 6 followed by visitation until 9:00 pm and the Mass of Christian Burial at 5:20 pm, Monday, August 7 at St. Walburg Monastery.
